Bruins Highlights From the NHL Awards

Tonight’s ceremony in Las Vegas celebrated the many accomplishments of all the NHL’s outstanding players… but it wasn’t without recognition of the Stanley Cup Champs! Here’s some of the best Bruins moments from the NHL Awards:

- Host Jay Mohr congratulating the Bruins in his opening monologue, saying this season, “We learned what it takes to be champions” from the B’s.

- Director Kevin Smith presenting in a Bobby Orr Bruins sweater.

- Nicklas Lidstrom congratulating Boston blueliner Zdeno Chara on winning the Stanley Cup in Lidstrom’s Norris Trophy acceptance speech.

- Chara winning the Mark Messier Leadership Award!

- Martin St. Louis congratulating the Bruins on their victory in his Lady Byng Memorial Trophy acceptance speech.

-A “Pawn Stars” reality spoof that featured the Stanley Cup being sold at a pawn shop by the infamous Hanson brothers of “Slapshot” fame.

- Zee and Tim Thomas presenting the Cup to cheers from the crowd as “the Champion Boston Bruins”- never gets old- and then thanking the Boston fans for their support.

- The goosebump-worthy “History Returns to Boston” commercial.

- Actor Jon Hamm congratulating the Bruins on their Cup as he presented the Vezina Trophy.

- Tim Thomas’s Vezina win! 

- Brad Marchand, Chara and the rest of the Bruins featured in the “Plays of the Year” montage.
