All In A Day's Work

As four of the “Fierce Five” Olympic gymnasts spoke with last Sunday, they admitted the nickname wasn’t their first choice.

Originally, the group went by the “Fab Five.” That was until they realized the nickname had previously belonged to a group of Michigan basketball players at the turn of the 1990’s.

In fairness, none of the five Olympic gymnasts had even been born at the time of “the timeout.”

Black & Gold Meets Olympic Gold

The 18-year-old star who captured the world’s attention and brought home the gold during the 2012 Summer Olympics in London returned to Boston with several members of her team on Sunday afternoon as part of the Kellogg’s Tour of Gymnastics Champions.

GM Peter Chiarelli welcomed Needham’s Raisman and her Fierce Five teammates to the TD Garden.
