Camara Excited with Contract

BostonBruins.com – On Thursday, the Boston Bruins announced that they had signed 19-year-old forward Anthony Camara to an entry-level contract. Friday morning, the Toronto native spoke to BostonBruins.com about his excitement in signing the deal and his possible future wearing the Spoked-B.

“I was really happy, but it was just a stepping stone, I’ve got to keep going,” said Camara, who has scored 36 goals and registered 24 assists in 48 games with the Barrie Colts of the OHL, this season.

“It would definitely be a huge honor to play for the Bruins. It’s such a great organization and a successful organization. I’m just going to work hard, do my best and hope for the best.”

Anthony Camara Signed to Entry-Level Contract

Boston Bruins General Manager Peter Chiarelli announced today, March 14, that the club has signed forward Anthony Camara to an entry-level contract.

In 48 games this year with the Barrie Colts (OHL), Camara has registered 36 goals and 24 assists with a +17 rating and a team high 80 penalty minutes. Camara’s 36 goals are second on the team (11th in the OHL) and his 1.25 points per game average ranks third on the Colts squad. Camara’s 36 goals and 24 assists (60 points) are all career highs.

Amateur Spotlight: Anthony Camara

Forward Anthony Camara certainly has the confidence to drop the gloves. The 19-year-old Bruins prospect has spent three seasons in the OHL, and recorded 39 fighting majors, according to HockeyFights.com. Over that span, he has amassed 363 penalty minutes. Camara is a physical player who has no problem mixing it up.
