B’s Foundation Represented in Milton 5K

BostonBruins.com — On Saturday the Black & Gold shed skates for sneakers as members of the Boston Bruins Foundation staff participated in the Best Buddies Massachusetts Milton 5K Gobbler.

"We participate in at least one charity race a month, and they’re very casual," said Erin McEvoy, Boston Bruins Foundation Manager, who ran in this weekend’s event. "We have people who are advanced runners that crush it in 25 minutes, and then we have people that show up that day and haven’t run since the last time we showed up together."

As the popularity of road races caught on with some B’s employees and BBF volunteers, running for charitable organizations — all while representing the Boston Bruins Foundation — seemed a natural fit.

Adaptive Skating with Franciscan

The Boston Bruins Foundation’s relationship with Franciscan Hospital for Children spans a number of years. In the halls of the facility, Bruins flags and posters and other Black & Gold paraphernalia can be easily spotted.

Win Lunch with Bruins President Cam Neely, Tickets to Comics Come Home

The Boston Bruins Foundation is raffling off the chance for a lucky fan and a guest to have lunch with Boston Bruins President and Hall of Famer Cam Neely. In addition, the winner and three guests will get to attend Comics Come Home, the longest running stand-up comedy benefit in the nation, on Saturday, November 17, at Boston University’s Agganis Arena. The raffle is now open and continues through Thursday, November 15 at 5:00 p.m. ET.

Sticking With Spaulding

It was just the latest in a string of grants totaling over $85,000.

But as the Boston Bruins Foundation handed over another check to Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital, it was ensured that the Black & Gold would maintain their presence in the hospital even as the organization shifts to a new facility in Charlestown.

Neely SK8 Challenge Begins

BOSTON, MA – Team President Cam Neely, along with players Brad Marchand and Tyler Seguin, visited the Frog Pond at Boston Common Friday to kick off the third-annual “Neely Sk8 Challenge” skate-a-thon.

The event was hosted by the Cam Neely Foundation for Cancer Care, and raised $120,000 last year.

“So many families have dealt with cancer unfortunately, and [the foundation] understands the need for support,” Neely said. “To be able to do it at an event like this where the kids are getting exercise, they’re having fun – they’re raising money, nothing beats it.

B's Excited to Return to Casino Night

BostonBruins.com – The Boston Bruins Foundation will host the second “Boston Bruins Casino Night” on Sunday, February 12 from 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. at The State Room (60 State Street, Boston, MA 02109).

Bruins fans will have the opportunity to purchase tickets to play Craps, Double Roulette, Blackjack, Texas Hold ‘Em, and Wheel of Fortune with their favorite Bruins players on the 2011 –12 roster.

Rolling the dice, spinning the wheel, and racking up the chips is definitely something fans don’t get to do often with the Bruins, and the players enjoy that special interaction.

Heart Health Night

Cardiac patients and survivors will be in attendance and will participate in a variety of activities throughout the evening.

The activities will include Zamboni rides, a chance to watch warm-ups from the Boston Bruins bench and an opportunity to greet the team as they head out of the locker room to take the ice for the game.
