Coach: Opportunity to Bounce Back

BOSTON, MA - On Thursday morning at TD Garden, it was apparent that the frustration that was emanating from the visiting team room at the Wells Fargo Center on Tuesday night was left behind in Philadelphia, along with the Bruins’ 5-2 loss.

“Not enough focus,” Coach Julien had said following the defeat that seemed like a step back from the forward progress the B’s had been making after stringing together three solid efforts at home. “We’re running out of time here to get this stuff going. Last 10: Tampa Bay 2-6-2; Boston 4-5-1

Season series: Third and final meeting of the regular season. This game was originally scheduled for Feb. 9 and postponed due to a snowstorm. The Boston Bruins have won the two games played since, Brad Marchand scoring the decisive goal in both contests.

After hosting the Tampa Bay Lightning on Thursday, they travel to play the Washington Capitals on Saturday before returning to TD Garden for a Sunday date with the Ottawa Senators, a game postponed in the wake of the Boston Marathon bombings. The Bruins are tied in points atop the Northeast Division with the Montreal Canadiens, but hold a game in hand.

B's Blueline Looks to Bounce Back

BostonBruins.com – It’s usually Bruins defense that lays the foundation for the high-scoring offense, creating chances by smoothly carrying the puck through the neutral zone and dishing the puck to the B’s skilled forwards.

But the Panthers ran free on the Bruins last night, and even though the Black & Gold won, Head Coach Claude Julien said he hopes to see some tighter defense against the Tampa Bay Lightning.

However, Julien admitted that it will be a challenge to slow the league-leading goal scorer Steven Stamkos (30) and a bevy of other weapons.
