Good Luck to B's Marathon Team

BostonBruins.com — This morning, members of the Boston Bruins Foundation Marathon Team will begin their 26.2-mile trek from Hopkinton to Boston.

Good luck to Ryan Adams, Anthony Burdi, Sean Gill, Michael Gonzalez, Kelli Hurst, Sarah Johnson, Bret Kelly, Brian Lawlor, Robin Leed, Sarah Ouellette, Anthony Sandonato, Jon Schwartz, Eric Spirko, Naomi Starr, Sue Shannon Sweeney and Brittany Young!

And a special stick salute to Lucas Carr, who will run with Matt Brown.

Brown suffered a Spinal Cord Injury in January of 2010 during a varsity hockey game while only a sophomore at Norwood High School and today will pushed by Carr, a former Army Ranger in their second marathon together.

The pair hope to raise awareness of the devastating impact a spinal cord injury has on an individuals, their families, friends, and the larger community.

All of the runners are raising money through the Boston Bruins Foundation and it’s not too late to donate to the cause!

Foundation Announces License Plate Raffle

BOSTON, MA – On Tuesday, March 27 the Boston Bruins Foundation and the Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles will kick-off the raffle for the first plate of the ‘Invest in Youth Hockey’ Bruins license plate series featuring the Bruins current logo (the former plate included the retro Bruins logo.)

“This effort by the Bruins Foundation will re-energize the public’s interest in the Bruins specialty license plate series,” said Massachusetts Registrar of Motor Vehicles Rachel Kaprielian. “Our hope is that it will also increase overall awareness of the RMV’s specialty plate program and the number of charities Massachusetts residents may choose to support.” 

The license plate raffle will run from March 27 until the May 4 at 5:00 p.m. Tickets can be purchased at www.bruinsraffles.org starting at 10:00 AM on Tuesday March 27.
