Jarome Iginla.
The future Hall of Famer has been on a tear recently (or, really, his entire career), notching 13 goals during the Bruins’ 15-game point streak. His most recent pair of goals in Boston’s 4-2 win over Washington gave him the 12th 30-goal campaign of his career (and his 101st multi-goal game).
"It’s been fun to win games, and be battling with the top of the league, and to be on some streaks as a group, and to see them go in, too," Iginla said following the Bruins’ win over the Caps.
Iginla has established himself as a pure goal scorer over the course of his career, and he’s also established himself as one of the hardest workers in the game.
Bruins Head Coach Claude Julien knew that before Iginla became a Boston Bruin, but now he’s had a year to see it firsthand.
What has the B’s bench boss respected most about his game, after getting to know him this year?
"Well, you know what, he’s even-keeled, no matter what," said Julien. "Even when he didn’t score at the beginning of the year, you didn’t see panic. You saw a guy coming to work every day with a smile on his face and being happy to be part of the group. There was no stress, and he just kept working, and even when he wasn’t scoring, you were seeing him throw his weight around, you were seeing him drop the gloves, he was always doing something to help this team out and you know, his work ethic has been great from start to finish and now his goal scoring, once it picked up, has been our best."
