NHL.com — First-round NHL Draft picks Nail Yakupov and Mikhail Grigorenko are two of the 10 players who helped Russia win the silver medal at last year’s World Junior Championship and have been invited to try out for the 2013 team.
Also returning from last year’s team are forwards Nikita Kucherov, Yaroslav Kosov and Alexander Khokhlachev, and defensemen Artem Sergeev, Mikhail Naumenkov and Nikita Nesterov.

BOSTON, MA — For the second straight day, it’s been announced that the Boston Bruins will have a prospect vying for a spot on his country’s entry in the 2013 World Junior Hockey Championship.
Boston University defenseman Matt Grzelcyk was included on Team USA’s selection camp roster, joining fellow prospects Anthony Camara, Dougie Hamilton and Malcolm Subban, all of whom will attend Team Canada’s camp. Forward Alexander Khokhlachev will also compete for a spot on Russia’s WJC entry.
NHL.com — The National Hockey League announced today the cancellation of the 2012-13 regular-season schedule through December 14. The NHL also announced the cancellation of the 2013 NHL All-Star Weekend scheduled for Jan. 26-27 in Columbus, Ohio. The cancellations are necessary due to the absence of a new Collective Bargaining Agreement between the NHL Players’ Association and the NHL.
