P-Bruins Sink Pirates, 3-2 - The Providence Bruins (17-12-0-2) defeated the Portland Pirates (19-12-1-1) by a score of 3-2 Friday evening at The Dunkin’ Donuts Center. Chris Bourque continued his hot-streak, tallying his sixth goal in as many games as well as an assist, building upon his team lead in points with 27. Ryan Spooner contributed to the scoring sheet, adding two assists of his own. Trent Whitfield provided the heroics, tallying the game-winner in the final minutes of regulation.

Bruins Defeat Phantoms, 4-2 — The Providence Bruins defeated the Adirondack Phantoms 4-2 Friday evening at The Glens Falls Civic Center and improved to 16-10-0-2 on the season. Niklas Svedberg posted 43 saves, notching his 12th win of the season. Jordan Caron had the game-winning goal to extend the Providence win streak to a pair and stop the Phantoms’ three-game win streak.

Bartkowski Rebounds — A big part of the P-Bruins turnaround has been the play of blueliner Matt Bartkowski, whose own season has mirrored his club’s sharp upturn in recent weeks.

The Providence Bruins look to start a new streak this weekend with games against Worcester and Connecticut.

When asked about the P-Bruins 4-0 loss to the St. John’s IceCaps last Sunday, a defeat the ended an eight game point streak for Providence, the defenseman simply said, “We did get our butt’s kicked…”

Providence Point Streak Stopped at Eight Games — The Providence Bruins fell to the St. John’s IceCaps Sunday afternoon 4-0 at the Dunkin’ Donuts Center in the teams’ fourth and final match up of the season. It would be Providence’s first regulation loss since their last match up against St. John’s on November 24th.

Tardif Scores Three, Helps P-Bruins to Fourth

image — The Providence Bruins defeated the Springfield Falcons 6-3 Friday night at The Dunkin’ Donuts Center to improve to 13-8-0-2 with their fourth straight victory. Jamie Tardif scored a hat trick, including the game-winner, and Chris Bourque added his team-leading 20th point, an assist (2g, 18a). Lane MacDermid, Craig Cunningham and Ryan Spooner also scored. Niklas Svedberg posted 27 saves en route to earning his 11th win of the season.
